Dave Justice’s career has spanned 35 years, serving not only the Radio Medium as a Talk Show Host and Oldies DJ, but also as a Television News Anchor, and accomplished Record Producer.

Many of his productions appeared on the Laurie and Dore labels in New York and Hollywood as late as 1988. Dave was also the producer of a tv ad campaign for Pittsburgh’s famed Kennywood Park, which had Freddy Cannon reprise his 1961 million seller, Palisades Park, sung to the tune of Kennywod Park.

Back in the Day, Dave owned and operated a very successful Pittsburgh Recording Studio, RadioCom, Inc., a company that specialized in broadcast commercials, radio jingle packages, and Commercial Music Production for area groups and artists, espedcially if they wanted their song to have a ‘doo-woppish’ flavor.

RadioActive Gold was billed as the Number One Oldies Show in the Pittsburgh Market when it was originally carried ‘live’ on WAMO’s sister station, WYJZ-AM

Throughout his career, Dave has interviewed nearly every major and ‘non-major’ recording artist from the Rockin’ 50’s and 60’s. And, he’s still conducting interviews weekly, to bring his
RadioActivE Gold audience the stories and heartbreaks from the artists themselves, who contributed to our American Music Heritage.

Dave’s career becan in 1969 with WHOT, Youngstown, Ohio’s rock and roll giant. Then, it was a stint as television news anchor with WFMJ-TV, then back into radio with the 72,000 watt FM giant, WAMO in Pittsburgh.

Dave’s career was off and running, as he circled the South and delivered his Oldies in Florida and Tennesee, then back to Ohio for a stint in Akron. Everthing came full circle, when Dave was invited back to WAMO in the 90’s, where RadioActivE Gold became the Number One Oldies Show in the Pittsburgh Market, which also extended to West Virginia and Ohio.

Dave opened RadioCom Recording Studios, and produced numerous recordings for the legendary Laurie Record Label in New York, and for Lou Bedell’s Dore Label in Hollywood, CA.

Today, Dave is still actively producing music, the latest project; an album for The Holidays, a premiere Pittsburgh group from 1960-1961 that scored with 5 regional hits, but never had an album. Dave’s has been dicussing ‘new’ music projects with 6 groups from the 60’s who had National Hits. These projects will be underway during 2002.
